Experience one of the best times of the year on the Washington Coast in spring! As greenery, flowers, and wildlife activity picks up, so do all of the outdoor activities you’ve been dreaming about all winter long. From whale watching, to all sorts of outdoor exploration for the whole family, a getaway with Seabrook as your launching point for adventure makes any vacation memorable and packed with fun things to see and do.

Join The Hunt At Seabrook’s Spring Glass Float Find

Exploring the outdoors is even more fun during Seabrook’s Spring Glass Float Find! From March 1 through April 30, join the hunt for a beautiful, handblown and locally crafted glass float that is yours to keep if you find it. Two floats are hidden daily, one with a clue and one without. Guests, locals, and day-trippers are all invited to join in on this favorite seasonal tradition!

Watch And Learn About The Local Wildlife

One of the most exciting activities each March through early May on the Washington Coast is the chance to catch glimpses of gray whales migrating! Though sometimes visible without binoculars, bring a pair and pick a spot along many of the bluffs along the coast for the best whale-watching views. Get the most out of a trip to the coast and check out the shorebird migrations happening at the same time! From sandpipers to plovers and several other shorebird species, you’re sure to be able to observe nature at its best. Head to Hoquiam, a 35-minute drive from Seabrook May 5 through 7 to the Grays Harbor National Wildlife Refuge for the annual Grays Harbor Shorebird and Nature Festival.

Jump In For Fun At Seabrook’s SpringFest

Don’t miss out on the highlight of the spring season on the coast at Seabrook’s Springfest! Fun, family-friendly activities take place daily from March 20 through April 16. With more than 270 Seabrook Hospitality vacation rentals to choose from, you can easily find your dream home away from home and venture around town to play every day! Experience Magic Mondays, Tag Tuesdays, Wind Boat Wednesdays, Theater Thursdays, Field Day Fridays, Scavenger Saturdays, and Sidewalk Sundays for days full of making lasting memories.

Catch The Last Storms Of The Season & Go Beachcombing

For storm chasers, your last chance to witness the mighty waves of the Pacific Ocean at their peak is likely in April or May. As rainfall picks up, along with the temperatures, storms on the coast are beautiful and magnificent to observe. Stick around after the storms pass for the ultimate beachcombing playground where you may find anything from seashells to glass floats!

Hike In Seabrook & The Olympic National Park

Seabrook is interwoven with nature so you’re never far from the beach or an expansive trail network that connects to miles of hiking trails. With trails options suitable for all ages, children especially love the Gnome Trail that connects to the Elk Creek trail that leads to the beach! For hikers looking for more of a trek, try the Alderwood Trail or head out onto the Narnia Trail which interweaves with several other trails.

For even more hiking options, consider a day-trip to Quinault and the Olympic National Park, a 45-minute drive from Seabrook. The towering rainforest filled with old-growth trees and vibrant greens from ferns to moss is a breathtaking experience with several trail options from the Quinault Rainforest Nature Trail to the Pony Bridge Trail.
